The Project I have been working on for some time now. It is the prequel to my first two games, Castle Oblivion and Castle Oblivion 2. This will be my 5th game made. This game will probably end up being a bit shorter than my other rpg's because of its gameplay. The battle system is a real time action battle system, kind of like the old 2d Zelda games. There will be onscreen enemies, dungeons to explore, and puzzles to solve. This is my first attempt to make this type of game, so we will see how it turns out.
Story: This is where it all began. The story stars an unnamed main character. After meeting with a mysterious man named Dilan Nalra, he takes you to a magical castle where dreams become reality, but not all dreams are safe. The magics in the castle create many different scenarios in which our hero must defeat in order to escape the evil castle with his life in tact, all while learning how this magical castle came to be. This castle is dark and mystical, and not to be toyed with.
Characters:
Main Character.
The main character in CO:F's name is unknown. He lives in a small village called Torinshire. His life long dream is become a full fledged knight and defend his home village with honor. Until one day he met Dilan Nalra who tricked him into entering his magical castle. As the main character, he must escape Dilan's castle with his life in tact.
Dilan Nalra
Dilan Nalra is a wise philosopher who built a magical castle where dreams become reality. He is very mysterious, but also has an insidious though process. In order to maintain his castle, he recruited five apprentices to come with him to his castle, one of which appears to be our main character. Why has Dilan done all this, and what is he planning on doing with his magical castle?
Gatzon
Gatzon is the fourth recruited of Dilan's apprentices. He seems to know very little about the castle compared to the other apprentices. He has a personal grudge against the main character for some reason.
Evangeline
Evangeline is Dilan's most prized apprentice and is the most loyal to Dilan as well. She seems to be very honest. She also has more control over the castle than any of the other apprentices.
Faustus
Although not much is known about Faustus, he seems to want the same thing our main character wants, which is to escape the evil castle. He seems trustworthy, but then again, is anybody in this castle trustworthy...
Maddox
Maddox and Faustus have been rebelling against Dilan and the other apprentices long before our main character entered the castle. While Faustus just wants out, Maddox is more aggressive and wants to overthrow Dilan and have the power of the castle to himself. He can be difficult to deal with some times.
The Castle
The Castle itself can be considered a character due to the fact that it can surprise you in a instant. The Castle holds the dreams of others and recreates them in a physical form within itself. Even though The Castle is magical, it needs Dilan in order to survive for reasons unknown.
Videos and Gameplay:
Let me know what you think so far. I'll hopefully have it done by November or so!

Wow! This looks awesome! Great title! I'm really interested in how the story will be developed in the game aswell as the battles. Actually reminds me a little of one of my cancelled projects, Castle of Dreams.
November!? I can't wait!!
Goodluck on the rest, kelarly!

The story and the characters is well done. You're definitely gonna finish this game before I complete my game. It's amazing you put the effort and force yourself to work.
I definitely cant wait

So I can honestly say I'm looking forward to this. After replaying the other Castle Oblivion games, I think I'd like to know just what in the world started all of this.

Whammey, you should check the game out. It's completed. It's pretty awesome. I've been playing all day yesterday. The story and dialogue is great, too.
