| Subject: YouTube Poop RPG: The Quest for YouTube Thu Nov 17, 2011 3:08 am | |
| This game is Rated R for retarded... or foul language, suggestive themes, and everything else wrong with the world today. Before we begin, lemme say a couple things. 1. Why? I was bored and wanted to test my skills. Plus, it kept me busy when I had some things going on. 2. The maps suck! Yeah, I know they know. They're suppose to suck. Plus, I'm not really much of a mapper like my bro was. Those who remember MyTruePath/Kosanami/Imanasok, yeah, that's my bro. 3. Why so serious? Can't be funny all the time, right? Plus, I can't really do comedy unless it's my own brand of dark comedy. 4. Why not compressed? I tried. I compressed and tried to extract it myself in testing, and it would only extract audio. Don't ask me why, it just did. If anyone has a solution to that, go for it. 5. Why is your description so goofy? Goofy description for a goofy game? If not, I'll change it. 6. You MUST download the audio and place it in the game folder in order for the music and stuff to play. Wait, there's a story? Just kidding, of course there is! The world of YouTube Poop is under attack by a dark and sinister force not even the great astrologist Gaspra can tell who it is. To try to uncover the truth, he relies on the two heroes of YTP, Link and Zelda. Before the tale can be told, the two heroes have to go through their own tasks first. In Link's case, he has to return to Koridai to uncover a plot by Ganon and the Faces of Evil... again. God, how many times does that make it? I lost track. In Zelda's case, her father goes to Gamelon and doesn't return... again. Suspecting something must be wrong in both her kingdom and with her father, she investigates his disappearance while trying to thwart a greedy woman's plan to conquer the island. With the sudden appearance of an amnesiac, Ami, her tale is bound to be a little more exciting than the great Hero of Koridai's. Only when both heroes' stories are complete can they possibly hope to work together to uncover the truth behind what is leading to the destruction of their chaotic - yet peaceful (what?) - world. Setting- Spoiler:
The entire universe of YouTube Poop is a big ball of confusion. In the beginning, both of our heroes start in Hyrule, only to go their separate ways in Koridai or Gamelon. Koridai is under attack by Ganon and his Faces of Evil, for the God knows how manyeth time now. Gamelon, however, is supposedly under attack by Ganon as well, but it seems like a greedy woman who wants to buy out the land is more trouble than him. Once both stories are complete, it's up to you the player to unify some of the worlds of YouTube Poop together. Yes, we can go to other places besides Hyrule. A little Kingdom Heart-ish, I know, but c'mon, throw me a bone here. Anyway, back on track, other worlds the heroes have to go to involve Daten City, the Real World, and even Gensokyo. Screenshots- Spoiler:
Choose your scenario between Link or Zelda "Gee, it sure is boring around here..." "I wonder what's for dinner." An example of what your base will look like Plot Important Characters- Spoiler:
LINK: The Hero of Koridai and star of the game "Faces of Evil". He's constantly bored with the peace in Hyrule and always wonders what Ganon's up to. Only this time, when Gwonam the flying carpet man doesn't show up, he can tell something's wrong. By going to Koridai can he unravel the newest plot that involves Ganon and the Faces of Evil. In combat, Link uses his sword and many physical attack skills.
ZELDA: The Princess of Hyrule and star of the game "Wand of Gamelon". Zelda is the backbone of the chaotic Hylian family and the one trying to make sense of her surroundings. When her father vanishes, she knows something must've happened to him again and leaves to Gamelon. What was to be a simple rescue mission ends up being a fight to liberate the island from a greedy woman trying to buy the land. Zelda uses her sword and has some pretty good physical combos like Link. The difference between the two is that she learns one of the best healing spells in the game.
THE KING: King Harkinian is the ruler of Hyrule and constantly fussing over what's for dinner. He disappears in the beginning of Zelda's scenario but will resurface after the two heroes' stories end. He even earns his own sidequest story by accessing his Wii on occasion. In combat, the King uses guns and uses a different variety of moves, some he can learn from his Wii adventure.
MORSHU: The kind merchant from Koridai. Despite being a merchant, Morshu proves to be a fan favorite for the YTP community with his MMMMs and him selling only lamp oil, ropes, and bombs. Morshu leads the resistance against the Faces of Evil when Link returns to Koridai. He uses ropes as his main weapon, but he has a few bombs to throw as well.
GWONAM: A wizard from Koridai who always seems to have a prophecy that must be fulfilled by Link. He always arrives to tell Link of bad news, but when he didn't show up this time there was obviously trouble. Gwonam serves as the game's summoners and learns many different spells throughout the game should the player try to learn them.
GANON: The Prince of Darkness who constantly tries to take over Koridai and Gamelon. He's usually defeated by either the Book of Koridai or the Wand of Gamelon, then banished to the Pit. He acts as the main antagonist of Link's scenario, but will join the party should you the player go through a sidequest as the King. He comes with a trident, but his main skills lies in his magic.
DR. RABBIT: The mascot of Colgate, give or take, who arrives in Hyrule to take Link to Koridai. There's a weird aura about him that makes him unlikeable to some of the party members. Probably because those that put him in a project end up getting sued... uh-oh. He uses toothbrushes for his weapons and uses a different variety of skills.
IMPA: The caretaker of Zelda and watcher of the Triforce of Wisdom. She follows Zelda to Gamelon when her prediction the King would return doesn't come true. Impa serves as a healer for Zelda, assuming she doesn't get to heal the others first. She will do anything to keep the princess safe.
AMI: A mysterious girl that appeared on Zelda's ship to Gamelon. She doesn't remember her past, except her name and that she may've been a soldier for Duke Onkled's army. It seems her memory awakens for every time the group encounters Cousin Mel on Gamelon. In the beginning, Ami only has physical combo attacks, but eventually will learn to use water and ice spells to back up her movelist. And she's my personal favorite.
DR. BRUSHWELL: Dr. Rabbit's assistant. Whereas the doctor went to Koridai, she went to Gamelon to uncover the truth behind Cousin Mel's takeover. This led to her being captured and thrown into Tykogi Tower. When Zelda and the others meet her there, she joins them to finally take the broad down. Like Dr. Rabbit, she uses toothbrushes for weapons, but acts as a healer.
MARIO: The famous plumber from "Hotel Mario" makes an appearance after the heroes' stories are complete, being thrown into the plot by complete accident along with his brother Luigi. In combat, Mario uses his fists and resorts to using jump skills and fireballs. Sorry, no toast. Too lazy to make the animations.
LUIGI: Mario's brother and... rather flamboyant at that. Being constantly obsessed with spaghetti, Luigi joins the fight with Mario at the same time he does. Unlike his shorter brother, however, he uses more healing techniques than physical. His spaghetti techniques are unique to say the least.
SONIC: The blue hedgehog star of "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" joins the party after the heroes unite to uncover the truth. He's probably the fastest party member, should you use him that is, and proves to be a worthy ally. His skills involve him increasing his speed.
TOMMY WISEAU: Star and creator of the dark comedy, "The Room." Tommy is an odd one, to say the least, whether it be trying to impress his fiancee Lisa or throwing a football at random. Though he doesn't seem that strong of a party member at first, an event will unlock his true potential.
NOSTALGIA CRITIC: The critic who remembers all the crappy movies of old so that we don't have to. The gun toting critic didn't want part of this adventure in the first place, but an event draws him into it. With his snappy remarks and interesting list of moves, he proves to be a valuable party member.
AVGN: The foul mouthed video game reviewer and the Critic's rival. He's the main reason the Critic is blown into this mess, despite the fact the two were fighting when they're introduced. He uses the Power Glove as his weapon, but will use other techniques to help him out. Yes, even THAT will be a spell for him to use. You know what I mean, right?
I.M. MEEN: A library keeper and the world's most powerful magician. Meen hides a dark secret about his past, one that he's not too proud of. He traps "goody-goody" children in his labyrinth via a forbidden book. Despite being a librarian, his grammar is quite atrocious. He uses his strong magic and books in combat.
PANTY: A fallen angel who was kicked out of heaven for being a w****. She's suppose to be collecting Heaven Coin from defeated Ghosts, but she'd rather find her next one night stand instead. She can turn her panties, or any pair of underwear, into guns.
STOCKING: A fallen angel kicked out of heaven for being gluttonous. Though more serious than Panty when it comes to collecting Heaven Coins, Stocking has a sweet tooth that will always get her in trouble. Don't ever tell her to go on a diet, though. She can turn her stockings into swords.
REIMU: The famous shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine. Life's never too boring in Gensokyo whenever she knows there's trouble brewing. She mainly uses her healing spells or her famous Fantasy Seal rather than physical combat.
MARISA: Reimu's friend and an "ordinary magician". Whenever Reimu's out to save Gensokyo she tags along to get a piece of the action. Either that or she'll be stealing books from a large library. She's more physical than Reimu, but her main attack is the Master Spark.
Since there 44 characters total, I don't know if I can actually list them all. The walkthrough should help you locate all of them as well as the Support characters. If this meets the requirements, good. If not, tell me what I need to do, and I'll fix it up right away. Those who finish the game, or if you find any bugs - which I haven't found any when I tested - let me know and I'll fix it up. Thanks and... have fun? I guess. Oh yes, a big thank you to Overlord Arcana for helping me with an equipment script. |
